Just thought we'd show you this gem. Polly received this from a hooking friend this week. It's her portrait hooked in wool. An incredible likeness, no? Uh, people - this amazing portrait is a "pin" to wear and measures 2" x 3".
Tish Murphy is the talented artist who did this. Brava, Tish!
Tish worked from a photo to create this. Polly and I find this hard to believe since we are on record saying there are no decent photos of us in existence. It kind of makes this all the more incredible.
We hope Spring is springing wherever you are (or falling - for those of you Down Under) - Later.....

That's incredible! What talent!
That is amazing and to be able to hook that in such a small space. That is a cute idea for a pin, not sure if I could hook someone that small though, lol. I did do a few animal and one person in punch needle.

What a treasure!! I hope she gives you equal time, Laurie!! Wonder what size she cut those strips...
absolutely amazing ! I knew Victoria Ingalls did these amazing tiny detailed pins but I didn't know Trish did them also. Lucky you Polly ! Enjoy the preparation and anticpation of the trip to France . Melody
Sweet!!! Wish I could do that, too! Looks just like Miss Polly!
Wow! Polly, that's an incredible likeness. What talent!
Cool! The tiny portrait works surprisingly well due to the subtle color gradations of the wool.
That's pretty impressive!
We won't have Spring for quite a while--our lilac bushes are buried under huge piles of snow and our double wide driveway is only shoveled out wide enough for one vehicle since we've run out of places to put the snow. I'm soooo ready for Spring!
hehe! Fantastic!!!
That is amazing. Love it.
Love Polly's glasses. How did she do that??
